Hello App Sangha Friends 
Looking at Amara recently, I’ve seen a notification linking to the following announcement that Amara is closing their public workspace on April 30th 2026. Are the Plum Village App team aware of this, and whether this will affect the way Plum Village App subtitles are crowdsourced?

@Tom_Pughe Thank you for checking, yes we are aware and looking into options to support subtitling going forward. People can continue using Amara for this month and we will announce something later for future months 
Dear friends, a quick update on this…
Today is April 30th, and this is the day Amara Public is due to close.
We looked into the options including discussing with Amara if there was some way forward, but in the end given the thousands of videos in the app and on our YouTube channel, we have decided to develop our own solution for subtitle contributions.
We are planning to launch our new subtitle contribution tool next week.
For anyone wishing to contribute subtitles, I suggest waiting until next week when our new editing tool will become available.
We have imported thousands of subtitle tracks from Amara including drafts so hopefully people will be continue any in progress work from Amara with our tool
